Here, I applied flexibility by creating multiple ways to monetize the same foundation: D&D gaming sessions. Instead of limiting myself to just “charging an entry fee,” I expanded into events, digital content, products, and experiences.

Originality shines through in ideas like “adopt an NPC,” where the donation is narratively integrated into the experience, or the sale of personalized characters, which blends creativity with personal identity.

Flexibility is evident in shifting the focus of the game from entertainment to an educational, therapeutic, and community-building tool. For example, I moved from traditional campaigns to storytelling workshops and cultural events, connecting with the reality of migrant students.

There is also thoughtfulness in implementing the concept: it’s not just about playing D&D, but about creating safe spaces where students practice communication, emotional expression, and critical thinking, which increases the perceived value of participating.

Finally, an openness to the unconventional allowed us to combine mental health, migration, and role-playing games as a fundraising mechanism—an approach that is non-traditional but highly aligned with engagement and community.
